I’ll admit it. I’ve contributed to the noise. I’ve written articles about AI. And of course, like so many others, I have gone on LinkedIn and offered up my opinions more times than I can count. And yes, I see the irony that I’m doing it one more time right now.
But this is the last one for a while, because honestly, I’m done.
I’m tired of engaging with all the posts from people who are anti-AI. I’m equally done trying to educate myself by reading posts from people insisting AI isn’t all that bad. I’ve read the hot takes, the counter-takes, and the takes on the counter-takes. I’ve nodded along with arguments on both sides, and I’ve rolled my eyes at arguments on both sides. At this point, I’m not sure any of it is moving the needle for anyone.
The Decisions Have Already Been Made
Here’s the reality. Businesses have already made their choices, haven’t they? People have taken their stance. Companies are either working with human-only writers, publishing AI-only generated content, or landing somewhere in the middle, using AI for some parts of their content creation and humans for the rest.
And you know what? Most of them arrived at those decisions after weighing their budgets, their goals, and their comfort levels. They didn’t need another opinion piece to get there, and they don’t need one now to stay there. Are we really going to change anyone’s mindset at this point? I doubt it. The people who were going to be convinced have been convinced. The people who were going to hold firm are holding firm.
Even the data suggests the dust is settling. Gallup reports that daily AI use among employees has climbed from 10% to 12%. Personally, I have a hard time believing the number is that low, but either way, the adoption question has largely been answered. People are using it, or they aren’t, and no LinkedIn comment thread is going to reverse that. The conversation has shifted from whether to use these tools to how, and that’s a decision every business gets to make for itself.
What Actually Matters to My Clients
So where am I going with this?
The truth is, I’m just going to keep plugging away. My clients come to me for three reasons, and none of them have anything to do with my opinions on AI.
First, I am highly responsive. I don’t leave clients hanging or wondering where their project stands. When they email me or message me on Upwork, they hear back. When they need a quick turnaround, I find a way to make it happen. That sounds like a low bar, but ask anyone who has worked with freelancers and they’ll tell you how rare it actually is.
Second, I write strong content. My copywriting has improved my clients’ search visibility in ways they can actually measure. Rankings, traffic, leads. Those are the numbers that matter to them, and those are the numbers I focus on. Not debates. Not think pieces. Results.
Third, I do it at a reasonable price. If you’ve been searching for affordable copywriter services, that’s exactly the space I’ve built my business in. Quality writing doesn’t have to come with an agency price tag, and I’ve spent years proving it.
That’s it. That’s the whole pitch.
A Few Bonus Points, If I’m Being Honest
Well, almost. There’s also the part where I’m a genuinely nice person to work with. At least I think I am. My clients seem to agree, and they keep coming back, so I’ll take that as a decent sign.
And there’s the fact that I bring writing experience to the table from long before AI was a thing. I was writing before the internet was a thing. I learned this craft when research meant a library card and editing meant a red pen. That experience shapes every piece I write today, no matter what tools exist around me.
Stepping Off the Treadmill
I don’t say any of this to dismiss the AI conversation entirely. It matters, and smart people are having thoughtful versions of it. It’s just that for me, the debate has become a treadmill. A lot of motion, not much distance. I’d rather spend my energy doing the work than arguing about how the work should be done.
So if you’re a business owner looking to hire a blogger or a content writer who will answer your emails, write content that performs, and charge you a fair rate, reach out. I’d love to chat and come up with the approach that’s best for your business.
The debate will still be raging without me. I’ll be over here writing. Contact me today for a blog scoping call.
